The health unit says the move is "in accordance with the provincial guidelines which deems that one case in a long term care home is an outbreak. The staff at the long term care home are taking all the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of infection and prevent the transmission of COVID-19."

"If you are not contacted by public health, you are not considered a close contact. Regardless of an announcement of a case, everyone is reminded to stay home if they have symptoms and get tested," reads the announcement.

Or the 136 confirmed cases, 120 are recovered and nine people have died. There are five known active cases in the region, and two cases outside the region.
