New COVID-19 cases in Timmins and Hearst area

Three new COVID-19 cases have been reported by the Porcupine Health Unit. 

Two cases are in Timmins. The exposure for one is under investigation and the other is a contact of a case. 

There is also one new case in the area of Hearst, Hornepayne. 

All of the new cases are in self-isolation.

To date, there have been 221 confirmed cases of the virus in the region. There are 53 known active cases.

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
