New COVID-19 case reported in Timmins

The Porcupine Health Unit has reported a new COVID-19 case in Timmins.

It is the 105th confirmed case in the region. Of those, 56 have been in Timmins.

The exposure for the new case is under investigation, and the person is in self-isolation, according to the health unit.

Of the confirmed cases, 92 are recovered and nine people have died. There are four known active cases — one in Timmins, two in the Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls area, and one outside the region.
