All of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Moose Factory are now recovered, according to the Porcupine Health Unit.

The first case of the virus was reported in Moose Factory in early September, with a total of four being reported. It was the first community in the James Bay and Hudson Bay region to have confirmed cases.

While the cases are listed as recovered, Moose Cree First Nation's pandemic bylaw remains in effect until Oct. 13.

It includes a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. People are also not to visit any other household, including relatives, or have visitors in their home. People returning to the community must also quarantine for 14 days.

To date in the Porcupine Health Unit region, there have been 85 confirmed cases. Of those, 73 have recovered and nine people have died. There are three known active cases in the region.
