TimminsToday received the following note and accompanying photo from the Tiimins Police Service Tuesday afternoon:

Earlier this afternoon, Carter Chalmers (son of Staff Sergeant Tim Chalmers) who is an 11-year-old Anicet Morin School Grade 6 student, attended the Timmins Police station.

While spending time at home in keeping with the COVID-19 public health restrictions, this young man decided to make solid use of his spare time.

Acting on his own, and using a “from scratch” recipe, he baked low-cal chocolate cupcakes and distributed them to the staff and personnel here at the station.

He also prepared a 'Thank You' message to as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill for front line and “behind the scenes” police personnel.

This act of selfless generosity even caught his father by surprise.
