With new requirements for people going to the hospital to wear a mask, a call has been put out for homemade masks.
Timmins and District Hospital communications specialist Kaileigh Russell said people attending the hospital are being asked to wear a mask or face covering.
“At this time we are asking those who need to attend hospital to please consider bringing your own non-medical facial covering,” she said.
“In an effort to preserve the medical-grade masks for the medical personnel we are putting out a call for donations of homemade masks and facial coverings at this time. These non-medical masks would be provided to individuals who are attending the hospital. Donations can be brought to the front entrance of the hospital in a sealed plastic bag between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily."
