Gail Mills is recognizing her daughters, Lauren and Keisha.

"As the mother of not one but two front line workers I know first hand about the worry that comes when when your loved ones are selflessly putting the care of others before their own safety.

My heart overflows with pride and love. I would like to thank them both and their coworkers. As frontline workers who are in direct contact with the sick, you are there caring, reassuring your patients who are scared and dealing with uncertainties. You must deal with your own anxieties and  fear putting it aside while you take care of your patients with compassion, and bravery.

My daughter Lauren Mills is a nurse on medical here at TDH and works in direct contact with patients who are waiting for results and patients who are also positive for the virus. I thank her and pray everyday for her safety and the safety of her coworkers.

My daughter Keisha Mills is  a local girl  now an emergency nurse at Calgary’s Children’s Hospital. Her compassion and ability to work with children is a gift. I also pray for her safety, and thank her and all her coworkers for all their selfless work, dealing with sick children and their families.

God bless all front line workers across our city, province, country and globally."

TimminsToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected].
