Lise Fleury, an RN on the Integrated Medical Unit at Timmins and District Hospital, and her co-workers would like to recognize Lia Fontana — their Director of Clinical Services.

"She has been in the nursing profession for over 30 years. She is working countless hours above and beyond her usual day to keep us and our patients safe.  In these unsure times, it is essential to have a great leader that you can depend on to make the right decisions when it comes to our safety and the safety of our patients. She is compassionate to everyone's individual needs and she is greatful for her staff's dedication to the hospital and our patients. She reminds us how proud of our team she is but even more so now during these changing and trying times. She remains positive through it all and that keep our moral up. We appreciate her more and more everyday. We love you and respect you! Your Integrated Medical Team!"

TimminsToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
