Cameron Grant is recognizing his sister Audrey Grant as an outstanding health care provider, more so amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Audrey has always been incredibly adept in her understanding of the human condition and its related ailments.” He recalls their time as children, having himself poised as her “PR rep”, knowing how shy she was, and relying on her as the caring and compassionate one, ready to respond to any small cut or scrape Cameron may have acquired.

Since moving to London to work at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, she has represented the facility in her inexhaustible enthusiasm, and it is the reason why I love her dearly.

She has been working tirelessly to service the patients at the hospital and it pains me to know that we cannot be close together during these times.

I know my father, mother, and I, miss her very much and are extending our virtual hugs during this time of sheltering in place. We’re doing our best to reach out via FaceTime and sending puzzles and other distracting measures to make sure she is staying mentally fit, as one of the many hard-working essential employees.

If I could send her a message, it would be to stay strong, knowing that there are many in the Province that are keeping her profession in their thoughts and wishing them strength throughout this pandemic.”

TimminsToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
