A new contactless service starts today at the Timmins Public Library.

While both branches are still closed to the public due to COVID-19, they are open for curbside pickup. The contactless service is by appointment only.

To take out books using the new method, library users can place an item on hold online, by phone at 705-360-2623 or by emailing [email protected].

Library staff will call you to schedule a pickup time. When you show up to pick up the items, call the posted number and staff will place your items in a bag outside marked with your name.

Curbside pickup hours are Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you had items checked out prior to the pandemic, the due dates have been extended to June 30. The book drops at the Timmins and South Porcupine sites are now open. Books should be removed from plastic bags before being dropped off, and all materials will be quarantined for 72 hours.
