COVID-19: Here's the situation in Timmins today

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Porcupine Health Unit today.

There is one known active case in Timmins, which was reported Friday. 

There have been 74 confirmed cases of the virus in the health unit's region. Of those, 64 are recovered and nine people have died.

The health unit is aware of 17,367 tests being done, which is an increase of 212 from the last report Friday. 

In the past week, there have been 714 tests done. That's a slight drop from the week prior when 766 tests were done in the region.

Public Health Ontario reported a spike today, with 185 new confirmed cases. To date, Public Health Ontario has confirmed 43,536 cases of COVID-19 and reported 39,196 recoveries. There are two known active cases in Northern Ontario.
