COVID-19: Here's the situation in Timmins today

There is only one known active COVID-19 case in the Porcupine Health Unit region.

The last positive test in the Timmins area was reported May 10. 

To date, there have been 65 confirmed cases of the virus locally. Of those, 57 are resolved and seven people have died.

The Timiskaming Health Unit has the highest COVID-19 testing rate in Northern Ontario, and the Timmins-area organization continues to have the highest fatality rate, according to the Porcupine Health Unit's latest epidemiolgy report.

Public Health Ontario reported 446 new cases of COVID-19 today. In Ontario, there have been 28,709 confirmed cases. Of those, 22,484 (78.3 per cent) are resolved.
