COVID-19: Here's the situation in Timmins today

No new confirmed COVID-19 cases or recoveries were reported in the Porcupine Health Unit region today.

It's now been 16 days since the last positive test. To date there have been 65 confirmed cases in the region. Of those, 56 are resolved and seven people have died. The health unit is folowing two known active cases of the virus. 

Public Health Ontario reported 292 new COVID-19 cases today. The province has reported a total of 26,483 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, and of those 20,372 are considered recovered (76.9 per cent).

Ontario has extended its emergency order, which prevents gatherings of more than five and restricts is permitted to be open, until at least June 9.
