A North Bay Delivery service, Express Parcel is stepping into the battle against the deadly COVID-19 virus.

It's offered help to people or organizations that have personal protective equipment such as masks or gloves they want to donate, get to front line workers at no charge.

The company will get them to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, nursing homes, and first responders like police, fire and EMS.

Davis Connelly is the owner-operator of the company, that has been in service since 1999.

"I believe anyone who is able should step up and do what they can to help the fight against this disease. Front line workers are heroes who face the unknown every day they go into work. We want to do what we can to ensure they have the supplies they need to stay safe, while they keep the rest of us safe," he says.

Connelly's company is offering free delivery within their service area - north to Timmins, south to Gravenhurst, east to Mattawa and west to Sudbury.

Whether you have supplies or you're at a facility in need, you can visit their website at expressparcel.ca or send an email to [email protected] to get started.

"This is a time to pull together and help each other," says Connelly.

"We need to keep our front line workers safe. They put their lives on the line for us every time they go in for a shift, so it's the least we can do. My employees are proud to be a part of this and are ready to deliver the supplies as part of their daily runs," he adds.
