A local woman was allegedly assaulted by two men in a Timmins alley.
Early this morning (Feb. 6) in the north end of the city, Timmins Police responded to a call about two men who had allegedly accosted a 20-year-old woman in an alley.
"The woman was assaulted on her way home by both men as they stole her personal belongings and fled on foot," reads a Timmins Police news release.
Police located the suspects shortly after the incident.
A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Timmins, are each charged with robbery with violence.
The accused are in police custody waiting for a bail hearing today.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty.
