Wanted woman arrested by Timmins Police

Police say she was recognized at a call for service last night

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed at a Balsam Street South address during the evening hours of Wednesday, Feb. 17.

While attending to a call for service, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a person present as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police. Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Esther Moore, 47, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at provincial court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incident resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.
