The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed on Cameron Street South during the late afternoon hours of Friday July 31 by the Timmins Police Service While on patrol of his assigned patrol zone, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a male subject as being a wanted person pursuant to an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result, Andrew Peters, 39, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.
Peters remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against him.
