The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed at a South Porcupine shelter during the late afternoon hours of Tuesday, Dec. 15 by the Timmins Police Service.
In response to a call concerning an unwanted person at the shelter, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject of the complaint as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result, Paul Durocher, 47, of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at provincial court in Timmins to answer to a charge of failing to appear resulting in the arrest warrant being issued for his arrest.
