The Timmins Police Service arrested two local residents on the strength of respective arrest warrants during the afternoon hours of Saturday, Jan. 30.

While completing patrols of his assigned zone, a Timmins Police officer recognized a pedestrian as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the Timmins Police officer attempted to complete the arrest. The subject fled on foot and made his way to a Main Street apartment where he was eventually arrested after a brief physical altercation with the officer.

As a result, Presley Spence, 39, of Timmins was held for a bail hearing where he was released on strict conditions including having to attend at Provincial Court in Timmins on March 2 to answer to the charges that resulted in the arrest warrant being issued.

In a separate incident later that same day, a second arrest warrant was executed by the Timmins Police Service at a Balsam Street North apartment building.

While responding to a call for service regarding an unwanted guest, a Timmins Police officer recognized the person causing the disturbance as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Natalie Harrison, 32, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued for his arrest.
