Two charged on arrest warrants in separate incidents

Both accused are awaiting bail hearings

The Timmins Police Service arrested two local residents on the strength of respective Arrest Warrants stemming from separate incidents which were executed during the evening hours of Friday, Jan. 1.

While responding to a call for service regarding a suspicious person lurking in the area of an ATM vestibule at a Waterloo Road strip mall, a Timmins Police Service officer located and recognized one of the persons present as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service. 

As a result, Samantha Noah, 26, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incidents resulting in the arrest warrant being issued for her arrest.

Later that same evening, a traffic stop was initiated by a Timmins Police officer at the intersection of Algonquin Blvd and Balsam Street to verify the sobriety of the driver.

The Timmins Police Service officer recognized one of the vehicle occupants as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Randall Kett, 27, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant. 

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incidents resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued for his arrest.
