Two arrested after pharmacy break and enter

The Timmins Police Service has charged three local persons with break and enter related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 22 at an Algonquin Blvd pharmacy retail store in Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service where three persons had forced their way into to the pharmacy by breaching a store front window with a brick.

The estimated value of the damage done to the building during the break-in has yet to be determined.

Collectively, the suspects were in the midst of fleeing from the scene after having stolen various items from the store just prior to police arrival.

Two of the three persons were located a short distance from the original scene and arrested and taken into police custody along with a number of stolen items.

As a result of the incident, Jeremy Etherington, 35, and Randy Solomon, 37, both of Timmins, have been charged with:

  • Break and enter with intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Theft under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Two of the suspects remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at provincial court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.

The Timmins Police currently hold a valid arrest warrant for the third suspect, a 41-year-old male party who is known to the police, who was involved in this break-in. They are actively seeking to determine his whereabouts to complete an arrest.
