Two accused of trafficking meth, cannabis in Iroquois Falls

IROQUOIS FALLS - On Jan. 30, 2020 members of Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), OPP North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP North East Region Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence in Iroquois Falls, Ontario.

As a result of the search the OPP seized suspected methamphetamine and dried cannabis with an approximate value of $2400. 

The OPP have charged Melissa Saulnier, 39 years old, of Iroquois Falls, Ontario with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing, contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act (CA) and,
  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).

Richard Dundas, 51 years old, of Iroquois Falls, Ontario was also charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing, contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act (CA) and,
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).

Both accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, Ontario on March 3, 2020.
