Two accused of trafficking fentanyl in Cobalt

COBALT, ON - On July 15, 2020, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigated a drug trafficking occurrence and seized drugs suspected to be opioids (fentanyl) with an estimated street value of $5,565.

As a result two people from Cobalt, Ontario, have been charged

Kayla Doire, age 28, and Caitlin Willard, age 25, were charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Temiskaming Shores on Sept. 2, 2020.
