Trespassing complaint results in drug charges for Temiskaming Shores man

TEMISKAMING SHORES - On April 22, 2020 shortly after 10:30 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a trespassing call on Lakeshore Road North, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Further investigation revealed that one of the individuals was in possession of suspected controlled substances.

Normand Maille, a 53-year-old resident of the City of Temiskaming Shores, was arrested and charged with:
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and
    •    Possession of schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 23, 2020 in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
