KIRKLAND LAKE – On Oct. 28, 2020 at 5:55 p.m., members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Government Road East in Kirkland Lake.
The investigation revealed the driver had consumed drugs. The driver, Melissa Turcott, age 32, of Kirkland Lake was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired - alcohol or drugs contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The driver was issued a 90 day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS).
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 10, 2020 in Kirkland Lake.
