The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man person with assault related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early evening hours of Tuesday, June 16 at a Spruce North residence in Timmins.
The matter was reported to the Timmins Police Service days after the initial event and an investigation into the matter was completed.
It was determined that a male subject had engaged in menacing and assaultive behaviour towards another male party on Spruce Street North. The suspect was located and arrested by the Timmins Police on Saturday, June 20.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Shane Reuben, 32,of Timmins, has been charged with:
- Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
- Intimidation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
