Timmins man charged after police find him at break and enter scene

32-year-old faces numerous charges in relation to the residential garage break-in

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local resident with break-in related offences stemming from an incident which occurred early this morning (06 April) at a Waterloo Road residence.

Timmins Police Service officers responded to the scene of the break-in and discovered that the suspect had forcibly gained entry into a garage on the residential property and was in the midst of fleeing the scene upon police arrival.

The suspect was arrested at the scene by the responding Timmins Police Service officers after a brief physical altercation took place.

Upon being searched incident to arrest, items from this break-in and a previous break-in were located on his person.

As a result of the incident, Kyle Nakogee, 32, of Timmins, has been charged with:  
    •    Break and enter with intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Possession of break-in instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Trespass by night contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Resist peace officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Two counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Fail to comply with release documents contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
