Timmins man accused of exposing himself downtown

The man was found to be in breach of conditions imposed on him by the courts, police say

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from an incident that occurred on Algonquin Blvd East during the late afternoon hours of Saturday, May 2.

While completing patrols of the downtown core, a Timmins Police Service officer was made aware that a man was exposing himself while walking on the sidewalk adjacent to Algonquin Blvd.

The suspect was located by the Timmins Police based on the description provided to the officer. Upon interviewing the suspect, it was determined that he is currently bound by court imposed conditions that he was found to be in breach of at the time of the incident.

As a result of the incident, Stephane Lefebvre, 30, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Commit indecent act – Public place contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released from police custody on the strength of an undertaking requiring that he attend at Provincial Court in Timmins on August 18th in order to answer to the charges laid against him.
