There's a new commander at Kirkland Lake OPP

KIRKLAND LAKE – Chief Superintendent Carson Pardy, Commander of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in North East Region, is pleased to announce that Ryan Dougan has been promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and is now the new Commander for the Kirkland Lake Detachment. 

Staff Sergeant Dougan began his career with the OPP in June of 2007 where his first posting was in West Region at the Haldimand County Detachment. He then transferred to the Kirkland Lake Detachment in June of 2008 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in September of 2009. He has worked as a Platoon Sergeant, as well as the Interim Detachment Commander in South Porcupine and Kirkland Lake. Ryan is also a Level One Incident Commander. Prior to joining the OPP, Ryan began his policing career as a Constable with the Peel Regional Police in the year 2000.
