Suspicious person call leads to arrest

There was an arrest warrant out for subject of the complaint, say police

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an Arrest  Warrant that was executed stemming from an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon (April  18) at a Wende Street address. 

While responding to a “suspicious person” call for service at a Wende Street residence, a  Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject of the complaint as being a “wanted  person” named in a current Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police. 

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police  Service. 

As a result, Ryan Mahon, 32, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant. 

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in  Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued.
