Suspicious deaths in Temiskaming Shores being investigated as homicide/suicide

On Oct. 11, 2020, at 3:10 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a request to attend a residence, in the City of Temiskaming Shores to check on the well-being of the occupants.  

Once on scene, police made entry into the residence, where two persons were located deceased. 

The Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) began to investigate the homicide/suicide that occurred on Little Street. 

A post-mortem examination took place in the City of Sudbury, at the Centre of Forensic Sciences (CFS) on Oct. 13, 2020. The victim has been identified as Judy Neddo, age 75, and the other deceased has been identified as Basil Neddo, age 77. 

Stab wounds were determined to be the cause of death for both individuals.
