Suspected methamphetamine seized during arrest in Cochrane

COCHRANE - On June 17, 2021 members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol duties on 134 Third St. in Cochrane.

Police recognized a person who had a warrant out for their arrest. The accused was subsequently arrested and further investigation revealed that they were in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

As a result Lynn Fraser, 41 years old of Cochrane, was arrested and charged with:
    •    Fail to comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine, contrary to the section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court on June 18, 2021 in Cochrane.
