KIRKLAND LAKE - On March 22, 2021, The North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant at a residence on Premier Avenue West in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
Police seized drugs suspected to be opioids (fentanyl) with an estimated street value of $36,600.
As a result, Raymond Gratton, 43 years of age of Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice by video on March 26, 2021.
