Sudden death in Cochrane under investigation

EMS found a 34-year-old unresponsive; they later died at the scene

COCHRANE - On June 11, 2020 at approximately 12:25 a.m., members of the James Bay Detachments and Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a residence on Sixth Avenue in Cochrane where a 34-year-old person was found unresponsive and later died at the scene.

As a result of the death, the James Bay Detachments Crime Unit, under the direction of Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), are investigating. Also assisting is the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-FPS). A post-mortem examination will take place on Friday, June 12, 2020.
