Restaurant break-in suspect identified by CCTV footage

CCTV footage helped locate a break-in suspect, says Timmins Police. 

In the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 20, police say someone broke into an Algonquin Boulevard restaurant. 

The investigation showed that the suspect forced their way into the restaurant and stole merchandise, says Timmins Police. The front of the business sustained 'considerable damage' and about $500 worth of items were stolen. 

When the suspect returned hours later, he was confronted by restaurant staff and fled on foot. Timmins Police identified the suspect using CCTV footage of the incident. 

A 30-year-old Timmins man has been charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break and enter instruments and traffin in property obtained by crime. 

The accused is in police custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing today.
