Police seize loaded firearm, meth from residence in Temiskaming Shores

TEMISKAMING SHORES – On July 29, 2021, members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an investigation regarding stolen property, after a stolen bicycle was recovered from a residence.   

On July 30, 2021, members of the Temiskaming Detachment, the North East Region (NER) Emergency Response Team, with the assistance of the NER OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a search warrant at a residence on Lakeshore Road South, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.   

Once inside the residence, the officers located a loaded firearm.  A small quantity of Methamphetamine and several bicycles and bicycle parts were also seized.  

As a result of the investigation, Graham Bosch, a 42-year-old resident from Temiskaming Shores has been arrested and charged with:    

  • Possession of a Schedule I - Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) 
  • Possession of ammunition or a firearm contrary to prohibition order, contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code (CC) (2 counts) 
  • Possession of a firearm knowing the serial number has been tampered with, contrary to section 108(1)(b) of the CC 
  • Breach of firearms regulations, contrary to section 86(2) of the CC 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
