KAPUSKASING - Police are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area yesterday.
Just before 1:30 p.m. yesterday (April 9), James Bay OPP and Cochrane District paramedics responded to a 911 call for a body in a wooded area off Golf Avenue in Kapuskasing.
Foul play is not suspected and there is no threat to public safety, said police.
OPP released the scene around 7 p.m. The investigation is ongoing and includes the North East Region OPP Forensic Identification Service and the crime unit.
A post-mortem will be done at a later date in Sudbury, said police.
