Police ask for help identifying man who picked up lost wallet at Walmart

It allegedly had over $1,200 in it along with multiple vehicle permits

The Timmins Police is seeking the public's assistance in regards to an incident where sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, a man misplaced his wallet while completing his purchases at the Timmins Walmart.

The man who lost his wallet reported the matter indicating that he realized that he had lost his wallet at some point after having used the self-checkout kiosk at the Walmart store and made his way back to his vehicle in the parking lot.

In-store video footage shows the man dropping his wallet and another man is depicted picking up the wallet and leaving the store.

The wallet allegedly contained approximately $1,280 in Canadian currency along with various forms of Identification as well as MTO permits for 2 vehicles, 2 ATVs, a snowmobile, an enclosed trailer and 2 flatbed trailers.

The Timmins Police is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a male party involved in the incident at the Wal-mart.

As of yet, the "finder" has not made any attempts to return the wallet or its contents to the rightful owner.
