OPP seize drugs, cash and phones in Iroquois Falls residence

Police say suspected fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine has estimated street value of $8,000

On April 7, 2021, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Iroquois Falls and Matheson Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Iroquois Falls.

A search of the residence led to the seizure of cellular phones, Canadian currency and drugs suspected to be: fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine. The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $8,000. 

As a result of the investigation:

Tylor Peart, 45 years of age from Iroquois Falls, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs Substance Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance- cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 19, 2022, in Timmins.
