OPP continue to investigate medical assist in Hearst

Police were called on Canada Day to assist a young person who was injured and taken to hospital

On July 1, 2022, members of the James Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to assist Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at an incident on Charbonneau Place in the Town of Hearst.

A young person had suffered injuries and was transported to hospital.

The investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), is continuing with members of the James Bay OPP and the James Bay OPP Crime Unit, the North East Regional Support Team and OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.
