COCHRANE - On May 21, 2021 at approximately 6:50 a.m. members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Highway 11 approximately 8 kilometres West of Hearst involving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
One person was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the CMV, Marc COTE, 48 years-old, from Jogues, Ontario, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Highway 11 remains open.
