On Jan. 9, 2022, at approximately 11:12 p.m. the James Bay Detachments Crime Unit, along with members of the James Bay Detachments Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kapuskasing Fire Department, and Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services responded to a structural fire on Lang Street in Kapuskasing. No one was injured in the fire.
The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation by the James Bay Detachments Crime Unit, in collaboration with the Office of the Fire Marshall (OFM).
An update will be prepared when more information becomes available.
