Update:
The Timmins Police Service is advising that Andrea Smith, 12, of Schumacher, who had been the subject of a missing persons incident reported to the Timmins Police Service, has been since located.

Smith was located and his well-being has been confirmed by the Timmins Police Service. This matter is deemed to be a closed incident with no further police action required.

The Timmins Police Service is thankful to the general public for their assistance in regards to this matter.

Original June 2, 2020 news release:
The Timmins Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a young person who has been reported to them as missing.

The Timmins Police Service would like to determine the current whereabouts and confirm the well-being of Andrea Smith, 12, who commonly resides in Schumacher.

She is described as:
    •    a Caucasian female young person with a thin build
    •    5’0 tall
    •    90 lbs
    •    long wavy brown hair

She was last seen on June 1 wearing blue jeans and a light pink shirt.

This person has not had any verifiable contact with family members or caregivers since Monday, June 1, and as such, this matter remains an open missing person investigation.
