Woman accused of causing a disturbance, damaging public property

She faces mischief, disturbance, and uttering threats charges

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from an incident which occurred at the local library during the afternoon hours of Friday, Dec. 6.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers completed a thorough investigation into the incident where the suspect is alleged to have caused a disturbance and damaged public property.

The suspect was identified, located, and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Briana Cabral, 26, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Mischief under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Causing a disturbance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Uttering threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins in order to answer to the charges laid against her.
