Minor flooding has resulted in limited access to two streets in Timmins, and the public is being warned to stay away or they could face a fine.

Access to Norman Street north of the underpass, as well as access to Government Road North, north of Sandy Falls Road, was restricted to local traffic only early Saturday afternoon, Timmins Police Service said in a news release.

The temporary measure was implemented as a result of minor flooding in those areas.

Police said they will be monitoring the areas and issuing provincial offence notices to persons who enter the area contrary to the posted sign.
