Man wanted on outstanding warrant arrested in South Porcupine

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed yesterday evening in South Porcupine by the Timmins Police Service.

While responding to a complaint regarding an unwanted person in his assigned patrol zone, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject of the complaint as being a “wanted person” named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Dominic Scott, 31 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incidents resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued for his arrest.
