Man arrested outside Algonquin Boulevard hotel

He was allegedly yelling obscenities and disturbing other guests

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with a number of Criminal Code offences stemming from an incident that occurred at an Algonquin Blvd motel early this morning.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a disturbance in progress involving an agitated person. Responding Timmins Police officers located an adult man yelling obscenities and disturbing other guests.

The officer gained control of the subject and completed the arrest and took the man into custody.

As a result of the incident, Barry Godin, 48, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Cause disturbance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to address the charges laid against him.
