Local man arrested after police respond to suspicious person call

The 42-year-old man is facing fail to comply and identity fraud charges

The Timmins Police Service located and arrested a local resident early this morning in regards to a clear breach of release conditions imposed upon him by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

Responding to an early morning call regarding a suspicious person lurking in the business section of Reliable Lane, a Timmins Police Service officer located a male subject in the immediate area.

Investigation revealed that the man was bound by a court imposed curfew.

Upon arrest, the man provided a false name to the police officer.

As a result, Daryl Rumleski, 42, of Timmins was arrested and taken into police custody and is charged with:

  • Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Identity fraud contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to these charges laid against him.
