Local athlete shares sweet treats with officers

Noah Cogar picked up a ball cap in return for his kind gesture

A local athlete helped sweeten up the Timmins Police station this weekend.

Special Olympian Noah Cogar stopped by the station to drop off the Special Olympics doughnuts for the staff. The Tim Hortons treats were on sale for a limited time, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to Special Olympics community programs.

"Noah realizes the important bond that exists between local Special Olympians and the Timmins Police Service," said Timmins Police in a news release.

"While at the station, he took advantage of the opportunity to show off his Michael Jackson and John Cena moves!

"In return, he was gifted a TPS ball cap, but promised not to issue any tickets while wearing his new hat."
