On July 25, frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a person being threatened on McCamus Avenue in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
As a result of the investigation, Roger Blais-Gallan, 36, of Kirkland Lake, was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Fail to comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
- Engage in prohibited activity on premises, contrary to section 2(1)(a)(ii) of the Trespass to Property Act
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Aug.t 25, 2022, in Kirkland Lake.
